Recurrent Basal Cell Carcinoma: This original image of a person’s skin in the upper left shows the presence of recurrent cell carcinoma. The issue for the dermatologist or oncologist is how much of the skin should be removed to assure that they have captured all of the cancerous tissue to prevent the spread of the disease, yet removing as little as possible so as to minimize the impact on the patient.
